The present invention relates to a communication system for a ship under construction and an operation method thereof. The communication system for a ship under construction comprises: a step of arranging a main distribution board for relaying a signal received from a mobile communication network at an exterior of the constructed ship; a step of arranging a sub-distribution board inside the constructed ship, the sub-distribution board connected to the main distribution board through a wired cable, self-operating a femtocell by the sub-distribution board, wirelessly transmitting a signal received from the main distribution board through a wired cable to a self-femtocell area, and generating a secondary relay signal; and a step of additionally arranging a terminating relay inside the constructed ship to be connected to the sub-distribution board through a wired cable, self-operating the femtocell by the terminating relay, and wirelessly transmitting the secondary relay signal received from the sub-distribution board through a wired cable to a self-femtocell area.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
