The present invention relates to a hyaluronic acid-based hydrogel composite, and to a method for adjusting color and phase transition of hydrogel by using the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a hyaluronic acid-based hydrogel composite capable of changing color and performing phase transition according to surrounding pH conditions and to a method for changing color and transiting a phase of hydrogel by using the same, wherein the hydrogel composite includes catechol-substituted hyaluronic acid and Fe^3+ ions. According to the present invention, since the hyaluronic acid-based hydrogel composite exists in different phases in various pH regions, the hyaluronic acid-based hydrogel composite can be usefully applied to organism environments. Moreover, compared to the gelation of conventional chitosan, phase transition is possible through the substitution of a remarkably small quantity of catechol. Furthermore, a hydrogel composite accompanying a change in color according to the surrounding environment can be provided. The present invention can be widely applied to various bio fields such as regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, stem cell culturing and differentiation, and drug carriers.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
