An apparatus for attenuating a periodic noise from a sound signal based on a single microphone according to the present invention comprises: a periodic sound attenuation control unit which detects a periodic signal from a signal obtained by converting sound input to the microphone into a digital signal, mixes a reversed phase of the periodic signal with the digital-converted signal, and outputs a signal in which the periodic signal is attenuated; an adaptation level range control unit which controls the level of the attenuated signal and outputs a level-adapted signal; and an attenuation adjustment selection unit which mixes the signal, in which the periodic signal is attenuated, output from the periodic sound attenuation control unit, with any one or all of the level-adapted signals output from the adaptation level range control unit, and outputs the signal as a processed sound signal.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
