Disclosed is a book return apparatus having a function of classifying and storing a returned book. To this end, the present invention comprises: a main body portion formed with a book returning port on a surface into which a book is inserted; a plurality of collecting boxes provided inside the main body portion and providing a space for storing a book; a transfer portion provided inside the main body portion, reading identification information of a book inserted into the book returning port, and moving the book matched with the identification information to an entrance of the collecting box for a discharge; and a control portion controlling the transfer portion to allow books to be inserted into the collecting boxes matched by the identification information. Therefore, the present invention provides a plurality of collecting boxes inside the main body portion and stores a primarily classified book in an individual collecting box, thereby reducing a reclassification process of the collected book by storing the book.
