A high voltage direct current (HVDC) power increase controller according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a command output part for outputting a current command value to a main controller according to a disturbance signal; a voltage drop determination part for receiving an AC voltage and comparing the AC voltage with a lowest voltage which causes rectification failure; and a power follower determination part for receiving direct current power and comparing the direct current power with expected power corresponding to a current command value. The command output part may adjust the current command value according to the power drop determination part and the comparison result of the voltage drop determination part.
