There is provided an optical sensor having a planar structure or a dihedral structure simulating a compound eye of an insect. An optical sensor according to an aspect of the present invention includes a plurality of ohmic diodes having different lengths. Each ohmicidia is circularly arranged along the circumferential direction at a constant angular range on the substrate or inside the substrate. At this time, the relatively short length of the omatidia can be arranged between the relatively long omatidia. The substrate and the ohmatidia have different refractive indices. It is therefore possible to transport light through total internal reflection.;
