FIELD: agriculture; forestry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, forestry and land improvement, in particular, to the terracing of slopes. Method comprises terracing mountain slopes with an increase in a humus layer for cultivation of intensive gardens on small-stature forms of stock. Upper 15-cm-thick humus layer is removed and collected at the edge of the bed. After cutting the terrace, a trench is dug, removed ground is leveled along the terrace bed with a reverse slope. Before cutting the second terrace, the humus layer on the second terrace is removed and moved to the trench of the first terrace with filling it. After this, the second terrace is cut, the sequence of cutting single-stage terraces is repeated, and the trench of the last terrace at the top of the slope is filled with a humus layer collected on the first terrace, increasing the humus layer instead of 15-20 cm to 75 cm. Single-stage terraces are cut depending on the slope steepness starting from 8° up to 20° with a blade width of 3.5 m plus a slope, with a steepness of the slope 8° angle of slope 45°, with a slope height of 0.7 m.EFFECT: method provides increased terracing efficiency of mountain slopes while preserving the humus layer for growing intensive gardens on small-stature forms of stock.1 cl, 4 dwg
