FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry, in particular to determination of weight content of basic substance in a sample of a diethylene disulphide composition. Method comprises quantitative analysis of a diethylene disulphide sample by automatic potentiometric titration. Determination is based on results of chemical oxidation of sulphur atoms with oxygen, released during decomposition of bromide of a bromate solution in an acidic medium.
