FIELD: electrical engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and is designed to search the site with low insulation resistance to earth in DC control current electric power stations and substations. The method is based on the isolation of active component feeder current from an external voltage imposed. The imposition of an external low-frequency voltage is produced, the ratio of the square of the instantaneous value of the integral component of the variable capacity of the tires and active power components is calculated. The integral product of the instantaneous values of the variable components of the total reference shield current and the current-controlled connection is calculated as well.;EFFECT: invention provides the increase in sensitivity, when searching the site with reduced resistance.;1 dwg
