FIELD: construction.;SUBSTANCE: method includes deforming a soil sample of natural or broken consistency under conditions of the triaxial axisymmetric hydrostatic and subsequent deviator loading, enabling limited lateral expansion of a soil sample close to the real conditions; then, after establishing the conditional stabilization at the static mode by achieving the sample deformation rate corresponding to the conditioned stabilization of the sample deformation at this stage of deformation, the following test stages are passed to successfully; at the end of the tests, according to the final results obtained at each stage of the test, a plot of the relative axial deformation dependence on the axial stresses is plotted, and the required soil characteristics are determined; wherein after stabilization of the hydrostatic loading deformations, the controlled deviator loading is carried out, the first part of which is the dosed kinematic loading with the controllable deformation rate and the constraint on the increment of axial stresses, and the second part is the stabilization of the stress-deformed state of the sample in the creep-relaxation stress mode by the conditional stabilization of the total deformation module, frequently repeating the loadings and the stabilization before reaching the limit stress state, and then (if necessary) only kinematic loading is continued to the magnitude limit of the relative axial deformation.;EFFECT: accelerating the tests while determining the various characteristics of any variety of non-rocky soils.;1 ex, 4 dwg
