FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the content of free gibberellic acid (GA3) in vegetative plant organs of an apple, grapes, winter wheat. For this, samples of biological material are extracted with ethyl acetate, and then the extract is filtered and evaporated at 40°C. The dry residue is then dissolved in 60% aqueous acetone. Quantitative determination of free gibberellic acid content is carried out by capillary electrophoresis in a quartz capillary with effective length of 0.5 m and an internal diameter of 75 mcm with positive voltage polarity. A solution containing 0.33 wt % of boric acid, 0.05 wt % of sodium tetraborate and 0.5 vol. % of isopropanol, pH = 9.3 is used as an electrolyte.
