FIELD: machine engineering.;SUBSTANCE: deviation of the machine spindle axis position along two linear coordinates in the horizontal plane is used as the parameters characterizing the thermal state of the machine, the deviation of angular position of the spindle axis and angular displacement of the spindle axis relative to the base for a blank which are measured by means of two pairs of linear displacement transducers located at different spindle levels after completion of standard operation cycle of the machine during testing. Said deviations are related to the amount of electric power consumed by the machine during this cycle, and the validity to operation of the machine under testing is determined by comparing the obtained relationships with a similar allowable value obtained when testing a test machine.;EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to increase the reliability of the thermal conditions evaluation of a serial machine when performing acceptance tests.;1 dwg
