The invention relates to a discharge method for an electric or hybrid vehicle (20) for discharging (21) electrical energy from a high-voltage network (1), wherein the discharge method by means of a DC-DC converter (3), which a first DC voltage (HV) from the high-voltage network (1) into a second DC voltage (LV) for a low-voltage network (2) and connected on its high-voltage side (4) to the high-voltage network (1) and on its low-voltage side (5) to the low-voltage network (2), wherein during the discharge process the electrical energy from the high-voltage network (1) flows via an inverter (6) and a transformer (7) of the DC-DC converter (3) into a rectifier (8) of the DC-DC converter (2), and wherein the discharge (21) of the electrical energy the high-voltage network (1) by means of the rectifier (8) on the low-voltage side (5) of the DC-DC converter (3). The invention further relates to a DC-DC converter (3) for the discharge method and to an electric or hybrid vehicle (20) with the DC-DC converter (3).
