The invention relates to a valve tapping fitting (1) for mounting on a pipe (4), the valve tapping fitting (1) comprising: a housing (2) having a main portion (3) with a head portion (5) and a pipe mounting portion (6); a branching section (7) for a medium emerging from the drilled pipe (4); a housing cover (8) which can be screwed onto the housing (2) by means of a screw thread (9) arranged on the head region (5) of the housing (2); a valve body (12) with a cutting tool (13), wherein the valve body (12) in the axial direction (23) slidably in the main portion (3) of the housing (2) is arranged. The housing cover (8) has a force transmission element (24), by means of which the housing cover (8) with the valve body (12) can be coupled and the valve body (12) by means of the housing cover (8) is displaceable.
