The present invention provides a structural layout of the primary loop of nuclear reactor coolant system including: a reactor building having a raft base plate defining an upper surface 34; a pressure vessel 30 located above the raft base plate; at least one steam generator; at least one primary coolant pump; and primary coolant pipes connecting the pressure vessel, the steam generator and the primary coolant pump to form a primary loop, wherein a pressurizer is also assembled to the primary coolant pipe. The attitude difference L between a centre of the primary coolant pipe 32 connected to the pressure vessel and the upper surface of the raft base plate is 9.7 metres to 10.8 metres, most preferably 10.4 metres. Due to the sink arrangement of the primary loop, the seismic acceleration of the reactor fuel assembly is improved to a level no less than of 0.3g without significant modification to the structure of the reactor fuel assembly itself.
