The present invention refers to a watchstrap (1) connectable to a smartwatch (2). Said watchstrap comprises at least a main body for coupling with an arm of a human being,wherein the main body has at least two ends, wherein a first end comprises a first coupling means (5) for connecting to a smartwatch housing and a second end comprises a second coupling means (60) for connecting to said smartwatch housing,at least one data and/or signal unit (4) for transforming data and/or signals inputted via said first coupling means (5) into transformation data and/or signals,wherein said transformation data and/or signals are transferable via said respective coupling means (5, 60) back to a data and/or signal source for causing adjustments of smartwatch (2) illumination in dependency of the transformation data and/or signals.
