The invention relates to an autonomous and self-supporting facet (1) for a solar concentrator (2), which integrates one or more self-calibration sensors (4) as well as, optionally, a photovoltaic power module (5). Said facet (1) is designed in such a way that the times and costs of installation and maintenance are minimized compared to other known facets, in addition to being adaptable to any heliostat technology, due to its structural simplicity of components. The invention also relates to an autonomous solar concentrator (2) comprising a pedestal (10) as its main structural support; a concentrator control unit (11); a drive system (12) configured with zenithal and/or azimuth rotation capabilities; and the autonomous and self-supporting facet (1) described.
