PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black tea beverage that gives off a good aroma even though it is used as a container-packed beverage subjected to heat treatment at least once in a production process or an instant tea and to provide a composition for an instant black tea beverage that is used for preparing a black tea beverage giving off a good aroma.;SOLUTION: A black tea beverage has a ratio of a theanine concentration to a caffeine concentration in the beverage of 0.4 or more. The black tea beverage has a theanine concentration of not more than 43 mg/100 mL. The composition for an instant black tea beverage is used for preparing a black tea beverage by mixing with a liquid and has a ratio of a theanine concentration to a caffeine concentration based on a dry solid content of the composition for an instant black tea beverage of 0.4 or more.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
