PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bath agents substantially containing no bicarbonate ion, the bath agents being able to provide a smooth feel and the retentivity of warm effect in the skin surface of the face by enhancing face washing effect with warm water by increasing the concentration of bicarbonate ion in water after dissolving in warm bath water a solid bath agent containing bicarbonate.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a solid bath agent containing bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate or potassium bicarbonate) and organic acid, in which the PH of an aqueous solution immediately after dissolving the solid bath agent is 5.5 to 9.0, any bicarbonate ion blocking agent is not contained, the organic acid is at least one of citric acid, fumaric acid, succinic acid, and malic acid, and anhydrous sodium carbonate and/or anhydrous potassium carbonate is contained; and to a face washing esthetic method using warm water in which the solid bath agent is dissolved.SELECTED DRAWING: None
