PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for cell culture capable of changing the physical properties thereof by more stimulation.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, a substrate 1 for cell culture comprises a polymeric material consisting of a copolymer of a first monomer-derived component 11 having a functional group to be polymerized by light irradiation and a second monomer-derived component 12 whose physical properties, such as elastic modulus, change due to a change in temperature. The substrate 1 for cell culture has a modulus of elasticity that varies depending on at least one of light irradiation and temperature change. The cell culture substrate 1 is, for example, a hydrogel and has biocompatibility. The first monomer-derived component 11 is derived from, for example, 7-methacryloyloxycoumarin. The second monomer-derived component is derived from, for example, methoxypoly(ethylene glycol)methacrylate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
