A new strain of human immunodeficiency virus IV748, isolated in the territory of the Russian Federation from a patient who did not receive ARV therapy, was described; the route of infection is sexual (heterosexual contact). It belongs to the HIV subtype A variant currently circulating in most of the territory of the Russian Federation. Genetic analysis of the nucleotide sequences of the reverse transcriptase gene, protease gene and integrase gene using the AmpliSense HIV-Resist-Seq reagent kit showed that this virus strain belongs to subtype A and does not contain mutations of resistance to antiretroviral drugs. Possesses stable reproductive activity. The infectious titer is 6 lg TCD 50. It is proposed for use as a physiologically acceptable means for an effective and highly accurate study of the antiviral effect of new generation chemotherapy drugs and for the creation of a vaccine.
