The present invention relates to a solid dosage form, containing a combination of (a) an astringent active substance that is aluminium potassium sulphate decahydrate (alum) and (b) a mucilaginous drug that is Icelandic moss, and to the use thereof for the prevention or treatment of inflammatory diseases of the oropharyngeal region and for the treatment of painful irritations of the mucosa in the oropharyngeal region and associated irritable cough.
