Disclosed is a machine (1) for making a yarn ball, the machine comprising: an elongated base (2) having two ends (2',2); a first inclined limb (3) being fixed at one end (2) of the base at an angle of 45°; a second inclined limb (4) being fixed at about middle (2') of the base at an angle varying from 0°-10°; a bobbin holder (5) being fixed at the other end (2') of base for holding a bobbin (21); a first pair of guiding pulleys (6, 6') being fixed at free end (3) of the first inclined limb; a second pair of guiding pulleys (7,7') fixed at free end (4') of the second inclined limb; a first shaft (11) being fixed in middle (3) of the first inclined limb, the first shaft (11) mounted perpendicular to the first inclined limb (3); a handle pulley (8) along with a first counting pulley (10) being rotatably mounted at one end of the first shaft (11), the handle pulley (8) comprises a handle (9); a paper bobbin (12) being fixed at the other end of the first shaft; a second shaft (14) being fixed at about middle (4) on the second inclined limb, the second shaft (14) being hollow to provide path to a yarn (22); a joint pulley (15) being fixed at one end of the second shaft; a C-shaped rotating component (16) being rotatably fixed at other end of the second shaft, the C-shaped component (16) having inclined extended portion (17) at one end, the inclined extended portion consists of a hole; a first thread drive (19) to operatively connect the handle pulley (8), first pair of guiding pulleys (6,6'), second pair of guiding pulleys (7,7') and joint pulley (15); and the handle pulley (8), first pair of guiding pulleys (6,6'), second pair of guiding pulleys (7,7') and joint pulley (15) are configured to generate rotational motion through the first thread drive (19) when the handle pulley (8) rotated through the handle (9). Also disclosed is a method of making a yarn ball using machine as defined above.
