The brief description of Fuel system of SU-30MKI aircraft is as follows: The purpose of the fuel system is to deliver the fuel from the tanks to the engines as specified by a particular sequence in order to maintain the aircraft Centre of gravity at all power settings and at any aircraft altitude. Besides this, the fuel system also carries out an auxiliary function of cooling certain Aircraft subsystems like actuating fluid of the air conditioning system, the electric generator cooling system, hydraulic system and radar cooling system using the Aircraft fuel as the cooling media. The fuel system includes: - (a) The tanks (tank-1, 2, 3,4 and 5) to accommodate the fuel. (b) Units, devices and pipelines to provide for the fuel tanks filling on the ground. (c) Units, devices and pipelines to provide for the fuel tanks filling in the air. (d) Units, devices and pipelines to provide for the fuel delivery to the engines from tanks according to the specified sequence. (e) Units, devices and pipelines used to cool the actuating fluid of the air conditioning system, oil of the generator cooling system and hydraulic fluid of the hydraulic system. (f) Units and devices which provide for the system operation control on the ground and in the air, lines for fuel bypass to tank No.2
