CLOSED CENTER ROTARY CONTROL VALVE FOR A HYDRAULIC POWER ASSISTED STEERING GEAR

The present invention relates to a closed center rotary control valve for a hydraulic power assisted steering gear for a vehicle having steerable road engaging wheels. The present invention comprises inner valve member [4] , outer valve member [5], cylinder feed ports [8,9], inlet and outlet port [6,7] and load sensing device [13] to operate at neutral, idle and valve actuation positions. Furthermore, the present invention provides fluid communication between cylinder feed ports and reservoir at neutral position of steering to enhance reversibility during steering. Further, it includes an integrated load sensing device [13] comprising load sensing plug [10], load sensing ball [11] and load sensing seat [12] to operate hydraulic components in the present invention. Also, the present invention is provided with fully integral hydraulic power steering gear. Advantageously, the present invention is simple and cost-effective for assembly and maintenance.
