A SINGLE STAGE OR A MULTI STAGE VAPOUR RECOMPRESSION SYSTEM FOR RECOVERING SOLVENT AND PROCESS THEREOF

According to the present disclosure, a single, multistage vapour recompression system and a process for recovering solvent from a feed stock are disclosed. The multistage vapour recompression system comprises at least one internal heat recovery heat exchanger connected for preheating the feed stock, at least two stages of vapour recompression module. Each stage of vapour recompression module comprises at least one horizontal extraction chamber with a heat transfer means and a pressurizing device extracting the vapourised solvent with or without air or inert gas and supplying to the heat transfer means to condense. The extraction chamber comprises a rotor with multiple rotating disks or a plurality of non-rotating multi-level heat and mass transfer elements enabling the solvent to vapourise and to deliver the concentrated stream. In the multistage vapour recompression module, the concentrated stream delivered from one stage of vapour recompression module gets transferred as input to a next stage.
