摘要

A portable DNA based fiber optic sensor for measurement of oxidative stress comprising:opticalfibre sensitizing DNA-based dye impregnated Biomaterialwherein ,said Biomaterialis adapted for measuring the oxidative stress by highly fluorescent conversion of atleast a DNA-based dye impregnated Biomaterial in presence of ROS..The said dye is 2,7-dichlorodihydrofluorescein (DCFH) used in DNA-based dye impregnated Biomaterial. The optical fibre sensitized DNA-based dye impregnated Biomaterialcomprises DNA- DCFH-CTAB complex wherein the oxidative stress is sensed by the measure of highly fluorescent product DCF of the conversion of the of the dye DCFH .The portable DNA based fiber optic sensor has the excitation and emission spectra as 300 to 550 preferably 510 and 480 to 600 preferably at 530nm .
