7. ABSTRACT Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a method involved in automatic image segmentation using grey level spatial correlation histogram and fuzzy entropic thresholding involving the segmentation of image involving decomposition of images into meaningful regions and the features similar in an image pixel are identified and grouped post inputting an image; subjecting the image analysis to at least one of: two dimensional histogram; three dimensional grey-level spatial correlation histogram with varying similarity and entropy; and grey-level spatial correlation histogram with constant similarity and entropy, and the two dimensional histogram is subjected to supervision under fuzzy region of interest; calculation of the three dimensional improvised and grey-level spatial correlation histogram and entropy, and the calculations are further utilised for fuzzy region of interest whose limits are depicted through automatic initial seed subsets; and obtaining a three dimensional improvised and grey-level spatial correlation with fuzzy entropy, where the segmented image is obtained as a resultant.
