The present disclosure is related to an acetylcholinesterase activity inhibitor for use in the increase of circulating CD4+T cells in patients with HIV with an incomplete immune response who starts late highly active antiretroviral therapy for no more than 3 years, where the increase of TCD4+T cells is sustained for at least one year.
