Pharmaceutical composition for use in the treatment of blush associated with carcinoid tumors and carcinoid syndrome in a patient in need thereof, a composition comprising an alpha adrenergic receptor agonist, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or combinations thereof; and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein said composition is to be applied topically at the blush site.
