Disclosed is multifunctional building for taking shelter from sunshine, rain and snow for use in open spaces and on roads, comprising a framework support assembly (10), a cover plate (20), a skylight support assembly (30) and a top plate (40). The cover plate (20) is supported above the ground at a predetermined distance by means of the framework support assembly (10). A framework space (1a) is formed between the cover plate (20) and the ground. The cover plate (20) comprises a framework structural portion (21). The top plate (40) is supported above the framework structural portion (21) at a predetermined distance by means of the skylight support assembly (30). A skylight space (1b) is formed between the top plate (40) and the framework structural portion (21). The framework structural portion (21) is provided with a skylight bottom opening (21a). By adopting the skylight space (1b) in communication with the outside atmosphere and formed between the top plate (40) and the framework structural portion (21) of the cover plate (20), the framework space (1a) defined by the cover plate (20) and the framework support assembly (10) is capable of ventilating same, thereby shielding vehicles and pedestrians from sunshine and rain. In addition, the building is also capable of collecting rainwater, purifying air and using solar energy and wind energy to generate electricity.
