[Problem] To provide a container having excellent initial sealability and re-sealability. [Solution] A container has: a bottom surface; side surfaces erected from the bottom surface; and a flange part continuously provided on the upper sections of the side surfaces. The flange part includes: an inner portion that is continuously provided on the side surfaces along the entire circumference of the flange part; an outer portion positioned outward from the inner portion; and a connecting portion that is provided between the inner portion and the outer portion and connects the inner portion and the outer portion. The upper surface of the outer portion is positioned lower than the lower surface of the inner portion. The outer portion is provided with a protruding section that protrudes to the inner portion side.
