A spectral resolution correction-based method for increasing optical signal-to-noise ratio measurement precision: by measuring the actual power of a wide spectrum signal in a certain bandwidth and by employing a spectrum analyzer to measure the sum of the powers of sampling points of the wide spectrum signal in the bandwidth, acquiring a corrected resolution of the spectrum analyzer; and using the corrected resolution in place of a set resolution of the spectrum analyzer to acquire an optical signal-to-noise ratio, thus increasing the measurement precision thereof. The spectral resolution correction-based method for increasing optical signal-to-noise ratio measurement precision effectively solves the problem of a large optical signal-to-noise measurement error as a result of the set resolution of the spectrum analyzer being different from the actual resolution, is applicable in the correction of the resolution of all spectrum analyzers, also is applicable in increasing the precision of all spectrum analysis-based methods for optical signal-to-noise ratio measurement, and has the advantages of simple operating and processing method and being easy to implement.
