The present invention relates to the technical field of aquaculture, in particular to nutritional compositions for sea shrimps or prawns, for the treatment and prevention of hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND), also known as early mortality syndrome (EMS), caused by particular strains of the genus Vibrio that carry toxins that cause early mortality during the early stages of shrimp farming. The compositions of the invention are effective in treating and preventing said disease, eliminating the presence of the bacteria and the associated hepatopancreatic lesions once the disease has occurred.
