METHOD FOR INCREASING METHANE YIELD IN ANAEROBIC DIGESTERS BY THE ADDITION OFA CELLULOLYTIC BACTERIA COCKTAIL (CEBAC-M) DEVELOPED FROM A SAMPLE TAKEN FROM AN ANAEROBIC REACTOR ACCLIMATED TO SORGHUM
This invention is related to a method for increasing methane yield in anaerobic digesters by adding a cellulolytic bacteria cocktail (cebac-m) prepared from a sample taken from an anaerobic reactor acclimated with a lignocellulose-rich sorghum plant, in order to increase methane yield in a system by increasing the hydrolysis efficiency to a maximum level, in anaerobic digesters that are treating lignocellulolytic biomass, such as animal manure, agricultural waste, energy plants, food waste, sewage sludge, household wastewater and industrial wastewater. The invention is a method for increasing methane yield in anaerobic digesters by adding a cellulolytic bacteria cocktail (cebac-m) developed from a sample taken from an anaerobic reactor acclimated with sorghum plant rich in lignocellulose, characterized in that it comprises the steps of adapting the anaerobic reactor to sorghum plant, obtaining a sample from the anaerobic reactor acclimated with sorghum plant, inoculating the obtained sample which is characterized by the bacterial community of Firmicutes, Bacteroidales, Tenericutes, Ruminococcaceae, Prevotellaceae, Lachnospiraceae, Synergistales, Actinobacteria, Chloroflexi, Cloacamonaceae and Proteobactena to obtain a specific cellulolytic bacteria cocktail, and adding the obtained cellulolytic bacteria cocktail into digesters.
