An LED lighting/planting dual-purpose building material apparatus (1, 1'), comprising a planting container (11) used for planting crops (111, 111') and an LED light source (13) used for providing sufficient light to the crops (111, 111') for photosynthesis, a front side light transmitting unit (17, 17') and a rear side reflecting unit (15, 15') respectively being arranged at the front side and the rear side of the planting container (11) and the LED light source (13), the rear side reflecting unit (15, 15') reflecting unabsorbed light beams toward the crops (111, 111'), and the front side light transmissive unit (17, 17') transmitting unabsorbed light beams out to the indoor walkway (3'). An indoor walkway (3') containing the LED lighting/planting dual-purpose building material apparatus (1, 1'). The present apparatus increases energy use efficiency and improves the indoor living environment.
