This disclosure is directed to an apparatus for control and manipulation of video signals in public and private communication networks. The apparatus comprises a computing device processor for establishing a public video communication network for a mobile device user to interact with a video sequence created by a second mobile device user not connected to the user on the public video communication network, the interacting with the video sequence comprising adding video messages to the video sequence and viewing video messages from the video sequence; and establishing a private video communication network for the mobile device user to interact with a third mobile device user connected to the user on the public video communication network, the interacting with the third mobile device user comprising transmitting video messages to the third mobile device user and receiving video messages from the third mobile device user.
