This coating color identifying device is provided with: an image display unit which causes a display device to display a digital image in such a way that a highlighted part and a shaded part of the digital image can be specified; a color information acquiring unit which acquires color information of the specified highlighted part and shaded part; a texture information selection display unit which causes the display device to display texture information of a coating color in a selectable manner; a texture information acquiring unit which acquires the selected texture information; a color characteristic calculating unit which, on the basis of the acquired color information, uses a correction factor corresponding to the acquired texture information to calculate a color characteristic of the coating color, representing a change in the brightness of reflected light corresponding to a reflection angle with respect to incident light; and a coating color identifying unit which identifies the coating color on the basis of the calculated color characteristic.
