Control apparatus and method for Uncertain interconnected systems with time-delayed nonlinear faults

Disclosed is a control apparatus capable of detecting and controlling failure even though time delay is unknown. The control apparatus for controlling a nonlinear system in which a plurality of sub-systems are interconnected comprises: a failure detection part evaluating each output in a sub-system having unknown time delayed nonlinear failure to detect failure; and a control performing part having a second mode adjusting a controller in consideration of a first mode before the failure detection and failure after the failure detection.
