An aluminum disc having the diameter of 200 mm and the thickness of 10 mm is used as a yo-yo. A fishing line is wound around the axis of the disc at regular intervals. The yo-yo free-falls by a controlled signal at the specific height. Optical sensor for measuring falling time are installed and a timer for measuring time is embedded. The optical sensors are installed at regular intervals for each falling section so acceleration and time are measured between intervals with single measurement. Accordingly, the yo-yo can be used as a useful energy conservation experimental device.
