EEG PPG based Depression assessment device

An objective of the present invention is to provide a device which analyzes a biosignal such as a noninvasive brainwave and a pulse wave to objectively and quantitatively calculate a depression scale to simply and quickly assess a depression risk group to screen the depression risk group. The device comprises: a measurement unit including sensor electrodes having a plurality of channels to measure a brainwave and a pulse wave; an amplification unit to amplify biosignals measured by the measurement unit; a calculation unit to calculate bio-indices with a high correlation to a depression scale inspection method (GDS) of a conventional survey method from the amplified brainwave and pulse wave signals; a depression scale analysis unit to apply a clinic statistics-based correlation trend formula with a conventional GDS depression score to calculated values of the brainwave and pulse wave indices to clearly calculate corresponding depression scale indices; and a depression scale assessment unit to weight, combine and average the depression scale indices to comprehensively assess a depression risk level.
