The present invention relates to a rudder for a ship and a ship having the rudder for a ship. On a front surface of a rudder main body, three operable reading edge portions are separately formed, and a left side reading edge portion and a central reading edge portion among the three reading edge portions are moved forward when the rudder rotates to a left side according to a rotation direction of a hull. When the rudder rotates to a right side, a right side reading edge portion and the central reading edge portion among the three reading edge portions are moved forward. Thus, a flow separation phenomenon can be suppressed in the rudder main body.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
