The present invention relates to a method for estimating congestion of a tourist spot and a system thereof. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and a system, which estimate congestion of a tourist spot corresponding to an observation target area to be provided to a user by counting the number of user terminals belonging to the observation target area set to a predetermined range from a base station based on the base station, and comparing the number of terminals with optimum population.
