The present invention relates to a method for delaying flowering of rice and a composition for inducing delayed flowering of rice. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for delaying flowering of rice including a step of treating rice with cytokinin, and a composition for inducing delayed flowering of rice comprising cytokinin. The method of delaying the flowering of rice according to the present invention can delay the flowering of rice until a certain period despite an increase in average temperature due to a greenhouse effect. Therefore, a ripening period of rice ear can be extended, thereby increasing the production amount of rice and enhancing a taste of rice and quality of rice.
