SPECIFICATION BASED SCALING METHOD FOR VIRTUALIZED NETWORK FUNCTION, VIRTUALIZED NETWORK FUNCTION MANAGER USING SAME, AND NETWORK FUNCTION VIRTUALIZATION SYSTEM USING SAME
The present disclosure relates to a specification based scaling method for a virtualized network function, a virtualized network function manager using the same, and a network function virtualization system using the same. According to the present invention, the specification based scaling method for a virtualized network function comprises the steps of: determining whether to perform automatic scaling on a virtualized network function (VNF) based on the specification of the VNF, and identifying an automatic scaling condition; requesting the VNF to report performance index values corresponding to the automatic scaling condition; requesting a virtualized infrastructure manager (VIM) for notice of performance or failure of a virtual resource corresponding to the automatic scaling condition; and determining an automatic scaling policy and transmitting, to the VIM, a scaling request for the virtual resource according to the automatic scaling policy when at least one of the performance index values and performance and failure of the virtual resource satisfies the automatic scaling condition. Accordingly, even though a different performance index value is provided for each VNF, a VNF manager is able to read and analyze in advance the performance index value for each VNF based on information described in the specification. In addition, information on performance and failure of the virtual resource corresponding to a container of a relative function can be used at the same time, and thus, automatic scaling according to the policy can be performed based on the specification.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
