According to the present invention, disclosed are an apparatus for generating a Korean classical music and a method thereof. According to the present invention, the apparatus for generating a Korean classical music includes an input unit for receiving a total number of phrases and a start phrase in which the phrase is started and a control unit for generating N phrases that are the total number of phrases starting from the start phrase inputted from the input unit by using the connectivity of consecutive sounds for the phrase and generates the Korean classical music by mixing the generated N phrases with performance patterns of Korean traditional musical instruments.
