The present invention relates to a system and a method for operating an experience type art museum using a smart device capable of variously changing an optical illusion work which is a fixed display, and an application installed on a smart device. The system for operating an experience type art museum using a smart device comprises: fixed displays inducing a stereoscopic optical illusion phenomenon by using at least a wall surface or a bottom surface; and the smart device dividing and specifying a currently captured fixed display when capturing one among the fixed displays, and displaying and capturing an appropriate augmented reality on the specified fixed display.
