71 Inactivated Enterovirus 71 Vaccine and Uses Thereof

The present invention relates to a novel enterovirus (EV) type 71 strain, and an inactivated vaccine composition for preventing foot and mouth diseases using the same. According to the present invention, an inactivated EV71 vaccine candidate is highly effective in vaccination such as neutralizing antibody activities, protective abilities, and passive immune functions. Thus, the vaccine composition of the present invention can be used as an effective vaccine for preventing foot and mouth diseases.
