The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing callus for mass production of maackiain derived from Sophora flavescens plant and a callus for mass production of maackinain manufactured by the method. In the present invention, a callus for mass production of maackiain, which is obtained in very low doses from Sophora flavescens growing on the bare ground, is selected to enable mass production through in vitro plant cell callus culture. The callus selected in the present invention is found to be a leaf-derived Sophora flavescens callus, which is not root-derived, and has the productivity of maackiain about 5.5 times higher than that of the root of Sophora flavescens in the natural state. Therefore, the Sophora flavescens callus of the present invention is used to mass-produce maackiain excellent in various pharmacological effects, thereby being very useful for related industries.
