Disclosed are an A4 scanner having an A3 paper scan function, and a scanning method thereof. Generally, when scanning a copy having a size of an A4 paper or more such as an A3 paper in an image forming device for an A4 paper used in a small workplace, the present invention is arranged in accordance with a copy order input by a user, and reduces a moving path of the copy by half in comparison with a conventional technique, thereby efficiently reducing a work time of the user.
